WHAT IS RESEARCH AND ANALYSIS WING (RAW) OF INDIA

Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) is the foreign intelligence agency of India. It was established in 1968 following the Sino-Indian War to provide intelligence and carry out covert operations. The agency's primary function is to gather foreign intelligence, assess threats to national security, and provide strategic inputs to policy makers. RAW operates under the control of the Prime Minister's Office and is staffed by officers from various backgrounds, including the Indian Police Service and the Indian Administrative Service. RAW has been involved in various operations, including the Bangladesh Liberation War, the creation of Bangladesh, the Kargil War, and the Uri attack.
